Do What There Is To Do
“The truth of the matter is
that you always know the right thing to do.
The hard part is doing it.”
General H. Norman Schwarzkopf
Each of us has a quiet voice inside that always
guides us in our own best interest. Always, without question, the voice
steers us towards what is good for us and away from what isn’t.
This voice is often called our intuition, our gut, our inner
knowing, our instinct, a certain ‘feeling’…and we all have access to
this voice at any given moment.
Look back at your life and ask yourself about some of the
major decisions you’ve made: where to go to college, which person to
marry, what business to open, or what career path to follow.
Did you hear your inner voice speaking to you at that time?
Were you listening?
When I look back at my own life, every time I didn’t listen to that voice, I wished I had.
And every time I followed it, everything fell into place like clockwork.
In truth, we all do know what is right for us.
Hearing the voice can be the easy part.
Listening and doing…that can be the challenge.
What would it take to start truly honoring what you know is right for you? How might your life change?
Start asking yourself quietly, on a daily basis, what is next for you.
Ask yourself what the next action, or non-action, might be. Listen and
honor what shows up.
