Change Your Life
One Room At A Time

"In fact, fixing your home, one room at a time,
is like meeting your needs one step at a time,
until your very home moves your life
into the design you dream for it.
Because everything from personal growth
to wholesale change starts right where you live."

Kathryn Robyn

I absolutely believe that change starts right where we live, literally, in our homes.

The way we are in our homes, the way we live, the items we surround ourselves with, how we care for our home, and our everyday actions...they all define who we are in the world.

Yet the art of creating a home has been, in my opinion, lost in the shuffle of all the ambitious striving-for-success, impress-the-neighbors, looking-for-constant-stimulation-and-excitement, busy world we live in.

I'm not talking about a Martha Stewart-decorating, Rachel Ray-cooking, HGTV-styled home (not that I don't love that stuff, because I do!)...but I'm talking about the deeper, soul-fulfilling, rich connection that comes from creating an authentic space to call your own.

I'm talking about the kind of place where you can settle in, get comfy, and be fully yourself, where everywhere you look you are reminded of your very best self. The person you most enjoy being.

I'm talking about the kind of home that satisfies our deep yearning for belonging, for being appreciated for being exactly who we are, a space that creates a strong feeling of security and a reassuring sense of being grounded and centered.

Because, quite simply put, your home reflects what's going on in your life.

When your home has areas that aren't working (everyone has them...they're your clutter zones or 'touchy areas' or the spaces that cause you the most stress or discomfort or embarrassment), I guarantee you that you have corresponding areas in your life that aren't working so well, either.

And when you start changing your home, room by room, you automatically make corresponding changes in the rest of your life as well.
