Got Money Clutter?
""Money is congealed energy," said Joseph Campbell.
"And releasing it releases life's possibilities...""
Wow.
Almost no other topic brings up as many conflicting emotions as money, does it? :)
And money plays a role in almost every aspect of our lives.
We love money. We hate money.
We feel guilty about money. We worry over money.
But the truth is, money is just another form of energy.
Money itself is not good or evil. It's not spiritual or non-spiritual. It doesn't make us better or worse people.
It's simply a tool that we can use to create what we want in our lives.
And just like clutter is not about our stuff, the issues we have with prosperity or abundance are not about our money.
And just like clearing clutter is not simply about rearranging your
stuff or dieting is not simply about eating less and exercising more,
clearing out money clutter is not simply about learning how to balance
your checkbook, saving, and investing wisely.
That's the 'just do it' approach, and focuses only on the external.
The real transformation happens on the inside, by uncovering
your deepest-held beliefs and unconscious behaviors and recurring
thoughts about prosperity and abundance. (I was shocked when I started
exploring my own stories and beliefs about money.)
Here are a couple of questions to get you started:
-
What is your biggest fear about money? What is your biggest joy about money?
-
What is your most painful memory about money? Your happiest memory about money?
-
What were you taught about money (from parents, teachers, friends, other) when you were young?
- What is your current relationship with money?
As you start to uncover what's really been running your
relationship and experiences with money, you can start to clear out the
clutter of outdated beliefs and self-sabotaging blocks and start
focusing the energy of money in a way that supports you.
