Listen For Your Inner Knowing

One of the questions I get asked a lot is "how can I know if I should do something or not?"
How could we possibly know, in advance, when something is right (or not right) for us?
One great way is to trust your inner compass, that deep quiet voice
inside of you. If you're filled with doubt about something, that's a
sign that it's not for you.
In "30 Days To A Simpler Life," Connie Cox and Chris Evatt share some simple guidelines:
-
When in doubt, don't rescue it.
-
When in doubt, don't eat it.
-
When in doubt, don't marry him.
-
When in doubt, don't volunteer for it.
-
When in doubt, don't have a child or get a pet.
-
When in doubt, don't watch it or listen to it.
-
When in doubt, throw it out.
And you can also use the same wisdom when saying yes.
When you feel a quiet, peaceful, even joyful response about a decision,
that's your inner self telling you to go ahead.
Sometimes this inner guidance can feel subtle, so you'll want
to pay attention for it. The key is the quietness and sense of peace,
even though you may also feel some fear, especially if you're being
guided into the unknown.
You can access this inner wisdom to help you make easy
decisions about what keep and get rid of in your closet, what movie to
see, which clients to work with, what project to do next, and which
task to do next from your to-do list.
If you simply follow your inner knowing from one decision to
the next, your life will get infinitely easier...and you'll save an
enormous amount of time, money, and energy.
