Declutter Ideas:
Clutter Means "Stuck"
Clutter means stuck, stuck, stuck...and
declutter ideas that only focus
on the stuff are missing the mark.
"Clutter is stuck energy.
The word clutter derives
from the Middle English word clotter,
which means to coagulate -
and that's about as stuck as you can get."
Karen Kingston
author, Clear Your Clutter With Feng Shui
It's easy to think that clutter isn't that big of a deal.
It's just stuff, right?
Nope.
Your
clutter is NOT
about your stuff.
The
stuff is just an
external representation of what's going on inside
of you.
When you have things in your environment (whether it's junk in your
garage or activities on your calendar or any other level of clutter)
that are no longer doing you any good, something is stuck.
As Karen Kingston so eloquently points out, the word clutter is derived
from the word coagulate.
Let's dig a bit further, shall we? :)
Here are a couple of dictionary definitions of 'coagulate:'
- to change from a fluid into a thickened mass
- curdle; congeal
- clot, set
- solidify, thicken
Lovely, isn't it?
None of that sounds like
being
in the flow or opening to abundance or
allowing for creativity to me.
Clutter is about being stuck. Being stuck in the past. Stuck with old
ideas. Outdated things. Stuff that no longer fits.
Things that serve your life NOW have a delight to them, a flow, an easy
quality. A lightness.
Imagine everything in your life, in every area, having that light,
airy, abundant feel.
And how much easier it would be to do the things that truly ARE
important to you.
Declutter
ideas that focus on the internal AND the external clutter...those are
what will make the difference in clearing up your clutter for good.
And what a difference it would make in your work, in your business, in
your relationships, in your entire life.
