How to Organize An Office
One quick-start way to handle how to organize an office is to take ONE
minute, right
now, and clear off your desk.
In your business or your work, when you are surrounded by
piles of
paper, stacks of projects, and clippings you keep meaning
to read, you
are keeping yourself stuck in the past (and we might be talking about
WAAAAY in the past, depending on what's in those piles).
Your energy is tied up with all of those papers, and
all of those
to-do's, and all of those tasks that keep you from moving
forward.
You are also not making
breathing
room for new ideas, new clients, or
new opportunities to show up.
Plus, it's stressful to sit at a desk that is piled high, isn't it?
And for those of you who claim, "but I'm more creative when I'm
surrounded by lots of stuff - it gets my mind moving...", well, I'm
here to burst that bubble right now.
When you have a clear desk or work area,
you have a clear mind.
Which
means there is space in there for creativity to happen.
Your energy is attached to all of those things on your desk. Imagine,
if you will, little tiny strings of energy flowing from you to
everything around you...especially those things that give you a little
'ugh' feeling every time you see them.
As you clear up all that stuff, those
little strings of energy
come
back where they belong...to YOU.

So right now, take ONE minute and see what you can clear off your desk.
Is there anything you can
throw
away immediately? (That's my favorite
way of clearing clutter!)
How about any stuff you could
file
quickly?
Or anything you could
handle right now?
...like the survey I got today from my car insurance
agency that took 30 seconds to complete (and now it's off my desk and
off my mind rather than sitting in a pile of mail for a month)...
When you learn how to organize an office the easy way (clear the
clutter FIRST), you make your job so much less complicated.
One minute to
more
energy, more clarity, more opportunity, and more
room on your desk.
Don't you just love things that are that SIMPLE?
