The best thing I've ever done for myself
I was known as a “closet clutterer,” prior to this program. People
would walk into my house and say, “Oh, Lee, you’re so organized.” And
the truth was, clutter has been an ongoing issue for me; I was just
really good at putting it away!
I used to have a very difficult time making the decision to get rid of
stuff…either I couldn’t, or I wouldn’t, or I didn’t.
The first time I came on a call and Sue shared her Clutter Pyramid, I
absolutely sat back in my chair and went, “Oh, my gosh.” And that’s
when I realized “this is an inside job.” And so I was so excited!
And then when Sue said, “there are (energetic) strings tied to your
stuff, and all those strings are taking your energy,” I finally
understood why the
clutter was such a burden to me. I felt like I was dragging everything
around behind me all day long.
The key to why I joined this program was that it is designed to unfold
over time. When I make
changes in my life, I do it best when I can do
something and integrate it…and this program, over a year,
supports the
way I learn and the way I change.
I’ve been in this program for about six months, and I’ve had so many
side benefits and discoveries, and truly know that “inside work” that
produces “outside results.”
The first call I was on was the kitchen, and I already knew my kitchen
was a burden to me. I live in a very small house, and I was able to go
very deep in my kitchen and I eliminated 75% of what was
in there. And
now when I walk in there I feel joy, delight, I can find everything,
there’s space in the cupboards – it’s just awesome.
It really challenged my beliefs – why was I keep all this stuff? I used
to think “what if I can’t get this again?” or “what if I need it?” or
“but it was my mom’s!” And I’ve really been able to let go of those
beliefs.
Sue’s program is,
bar none, the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. I
consider it to be self care at its finest.
